GSL Promotus welcomes two new hires to its creative team

As part of its vision for a new future, Wellington indie agency GSL Promotus has welcomed Matt Eastwood as Creative Director and Cam Frecklington as Copywriter.

Tim Antric, General Manager of Client Solutions, says: “Matt and Cam have joined us at an exciting time for GSL. We’ve transformed the agency this year, bringing in fresh talent, cultural expertise, and change-focused leadership. With their depth of experience and knowledge, Matt and Cam are an exciting and welcome addition to our integrated client solutions team.”

Eastwood has worked in agencies across Australia and New Zealand for 15 years. His primary discipline is as a Commercial Director, and is said to bring a unique lens to crafting a campaign.

“After working with GSL throughout 2020, it was a natural progression to join the core team,” Eastwood says.

“We have some great campaigns in the pipeline, and I’m excited to create work that turns heads.”

Frecklington joins GSL Promotus after almost two decades in Asia, where he worked as a writer across multiple channels. After completing his postgraduate studies in business journalism at the prestigious Tsinghua University, he worked in journalism and then corporate communications, accumulating almost a decade of writing experience. 

“It’s great to be back in New Zealand after so long abroad,” says Frecklington.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work for an agency that’s not only keen to push the boundaries creatively, but one that also understands the power of change and proudly promotes the positive influence we each can have on New Zealand’s future.”
