AUCKLAND, Today: Special NZ was named New Zealand Agency of the Year at the B&T Awards in Sydney on Friday night. The agency also shared several significant awards with Special Australia.
Between the offices of Special Auckland, Special Sydney, and Special Melbourne, the New Zealand-founded advertising network secured a quarter of all awards distributed.
No other NZ agencies featured – but to be fair, there’s no way of knowing how many entered.
Special Group AUNZ was awarded 10 of the 41 gongs distributed – including all major Agency of the Year categories, and recognition as the Grand Prix B&T Agency of the Year for the second year running.
The list of Agency of the Year awards includes:
- New Zealand Agency of the Year
- Independent Agency of the Year
- Branding, Design & CX Agency of the Year
- Advertising Agency of the Year
- Grand Prix Agency of the Year
Special also won in five key categories across four different campaigns:
- Best Ad Campaign (Uber Eats Tonight I’ll Be Eating)
- Best Media Campaign (Every Kiwi Vote Counts Meddle)
- Best TV Campaign (Uber Eats The Grey Wiggle)
- Best Social Media Campaign (Every Kiwi Vote Counts Meddle)
- Best Use of Sponsorship (Uber Eats Tonight I’ll Be Eating)
