GLOBOX Digital Billboards are not only making big moves in the digital out of the home industry but they are also making moves in the local community through their initiative of community engagement with local businesses and promoting ‘ local’ wherever possible.
In July t his year, GLOBOX Chief Operating Officer, Sally Nicholson, reached out to Hauraki District Council after seeing their announcement of the upcoming OnYa Awards and asked if they could promote the event on their high traffic digital billboard in Paeroa.
“When I saw the OnYa Awards I thought this was such a great idea and just what communities should be about, celebrating the people who are giving back and being great community contributors,” says Nicholson.
The OnYa Awards are an annual awards evening where members of the community are acknowledged and celebrated for their incredible achievements and the positive differences they have made within their communities through their outstanding dedication and community spirit.
“It t akes a big team effort to build a future with connected people, healthy environments, and a strong economy. Our OnYa Awards recognise our star players – the people making a positive difference in our communities in so many different ways. People who don’t usually seek the l imelight but deserve to be acknowledged” says Hauraki Mayor Toby Adams.
“GLOBOX is not just about helping businesses showcase their brands and services but also about helping bring positive exposure to local heroes and to raise awareness for those who need it the most”, says Nicholson.
Mayor Toby Adams said he was absolutely thrilled when the team told him about GLOBOX’s offer and encouraged the council to highlight GLOBOX and their fabulously generous offer on their social media platforms.
“We are looking forward to continuing supporting local Hauraki communities as the GLOBOX network expands throughout the region”, says Nicholson.
GLOBOX then reached out to Hauraki District Councils Communications Officer, Margaret Maclaurin after the award winners were announced in November to see if they would like the digital billboard company to put a “congratulations to the 2021 recipients” creative on their Paeroa billboard to continue promoting the event and highlight the generosity within the community.
The council jumped at this opportunity and were incredibly grateful. “We have been very overwhelmed by GLOBOX’s generous support of our community awards”, comments Maclaurin, and that is a big win for the expanding digital billboard company.
“It was a very successful evening and by all accounts, the best one yet even with Covid distancing restrictions”, says Maclaurin. Mayor Toby Adams added that “Covid may have cancelled a lot of things lately but one thing it hasn’t cancelled is the dedication and commitment of people in our community to make a difference”.
GLOBOX has a goal to engage with every local community and they are on the right track to achieving this with their rapidly growing digital billboard network and the personal partnerships and genuine relationships they are forming.
Chief Executive Officer and Founder of GLOBOX, Allan Nicholson, said “As a family-owned business, we are passionate about giving back in every community we enter. We are committed to engaging with the community by building genuine relationships and supporting local causes in whatever way we can”.
GLOBOX is set to become the leader in the digital billboard industry and is on target to attain this title in the very near future with their rapid growth and unique initiatives.
