In a world where nearly everyone is always online, there is no offline.

Artists Warned

AUCKLAND, Today: Creative New Zealand has partnered with Augusto to create a campaign that amplifies voices from the arts community to encourage vaccination.

While vaccination rates are rising in New Zealand, the social media campaign aims to connect with people who are yet to be vaccinated.

Creative NZ ceo Stephen Wainwright said: “With artists front and centre, the campaign features well-known voices from the arts community sharing their ‘why’: why they do what they do, why they love their creative practice, and why they choose to be vaccinated.

“The artists involved are spoken-word poet Stevie Davis-Tana, street artists Charles & Janine Williams, musicians Pere Wihongi & Ria Hall, and comedian Tofiga Fepulea’i.”

“The artists will each offer their own perspective in a series of videos launching over the next two weeks on their own social media platforms.”

The artists involved in the campaign are spoken-word poet Stevie Davis-Tana, street artists Charles and Janine Williams, musicians Pere Wihongi and Ria Hall, and comedian Tofiga Fepulea’i.

Campaign videos will be first posted by the artists on their own platforms, with Creative NZ then promoting the videos through its channels.

The first release (video above) is muso Pere Wihongi.
