Morning TV viewers can look forward to waking up to Three’s all-new morning show next week, as it launches on Tuesday 8 February.
Co-hosted by Ryan Bridge and Melissa Chan-Green, the all-new AM promises New Zealanders a whole new way to start their day at 6am on Three and on-demand on ThreeNow.
AM will present New Zealand’s best morning TV with a mix of news and entertainment, sports and weather. Bridge and Chan-Green will be joined by the show’s news and sport presenter Bernadine Oliver-Kerby and roving weather presenter William Waiirua who will share stories from our local communities and ensure viewers hear what they need to know about the daily weather.
Oliver-Kerby will also present AM Early from 5.30am weekdays to serve up New Zealand’s first weekday news bulletin on TV.
Discovery’s Director of News, Sarah Bristow says: “More than 1.5 million Kiwis began their day with us last year and I’m thoroughly excited about our ambition to make the new AM the very best show on morning television in 2022 and beyond.
“Mel and Ryan will be the most vibrant, energetic and inquisitive morning TV hosts in New Zealand. Bernadine brings credibility across news and sports, which is matched by William’s boundless energy, humour and cheekiness.”
Co-hosts Bridge and Chan-Green say: “We can’t wait for Kiwis to wake up to the all-new AM next week, and share what we’ve been working on behind the scenes.”
