Proximity NZ continues to grow its strategy and planning team with the appointment of Matt Jenks as Senior Strategist.
Arriving fresh from the United Kingdom, Jenks joins Proximity from Dyson’s Innovation Campus where he severed several years as a Senior Strategy Manager. Jenks led the global product marketing strategy for a broad range of unique future technologies and products.
Working alongside Proximity NZ’s senior planning team, Jenks will be focused on developing pioneering customer engagement strategies for Spark, ANZ and Mazda.
On the appointment, Jenks says: “Proximity has an incredible list of clients and work to its name already. I feel genuinely inspired going into this new role and am pleased to be working for an agency passionate about getting closer to people to build innovative solutions that stand out in the market.
“Proximity’s investment in CXM and digital technologies will allow the planning team to dig deeper than anyone and unlock even greater success for our clients. It’s an exciting journey ahead and something I am stoked to be part of.”
Jenks will report to Nicola Bunting, who recently took on the role of Proximity’s Director of Strategy.
Bunting says: “Matt is an exceptional strategist, who we are delighted to have joined our team. From our first conversation, we could see he had a really unique perspective, fostered in his last four years working at Dyson.
“Matt brings a deep curiosity about people and their needs and an appreciation for thoughtful design in creating amazing customer experiences.”
This new appointment comes off the back of Proximity NZ’s first birthday celebrations and several recent hires across CXM, Client Services and Creative.
Chris Pescott, CEO of Proximity NZ says: “It’s an incredible time of growth, creativity and development for the entire team at Proximity.
“We have celebrated many successful campaigns, client wins, and individuals over the past year and are looking forward to continuing this success and building our talented team with intelligent thinkers like Matt and many more.”
