Auckland-based ad tech business Scroll Media has recently expanded their sales team with two new appointments in 2022.
Scott Hughes joins Scroll Media as Innovation Director to harness strategic opportunities for the business. Previously at Loyalty New Zealand, Hughes was part of the team launching new FlyBuys media propositions to market. At Scroll, Hughes sees great potential to capture growth through innovation and collaboration with publishing partners.
“I’m genuinely excited,” says Hughes. “Since the launch of Scroll the team have done an incredible job gaining access to some world class publishers. We have the reach, the audience and a unique network of publishers that can add value above and beyond the traditional NZ channels.”
Hughes also brings ecommerce, data and integration experience from working across direct and agency at NZME prior.
Bolstering the sales team, Lauren Buckeridge joins the growing business as Sales Manager in New Zealand. With a background in media and sales at BusinessDesk and the New Zealand Listener, Buckeridge brings a depth of publisher-side knowledge.
“Understanding publisher and customer needs is paramount and I’m thrilled to be able to utilise my background across the exciting array of sites Scroll has to offer,” says Buckeridge.
Scroll Media founder and Managing Director, Jane Ormsby, says the new hires will add strength to the business at a changing time in media.
“Scott and Lauren bring a wealth of digital experience and expertise to our team having worked with premium publishers before. We are delighted to be growing our strengths in innovation and integration. With an industry shift in contextual environments, adding new people to the team means we can support our agency and publisher partners to a greater extent.”
Scroll’s presence in the APAC market continues to grow, with “international publishers partnering with Scroll for representation because we cover the New Zealand, Australian and Indian market and create innovative solutions for advertisers and publishers alike,” says Ormsby.
Representing a portfolio of more than thirty premium publishers, including industry giants Healthline, Gameloft and LadBible, Scroll Media has specialised in branded content, programmatic advertising and customised solutions since 2018. Looking to 2022, Scroll Media seeks to take advantage of the huge opportunities in gamification and contextual advertising.
