AUCKLAND, Today: TVNZ last night celebrated the 30th anniversary of Shortland Street, with a special ad break, showcasing some of the brands the show’s worked with over the years.
TVNZ comms manager Ginny Green said: “The TVNZ Blacksand & Partnerships team thought the best way to celebrate was with an exclusive ad break takeover, thanking some of the Kiwi brands that have been there alongside Shorty throughout the years.
“Nine of the best – ASB/St John, Briscoes, Cadbury, Hellers, McDonald’s, Mitsubishi, Resene, Skinny, State Insurance.”
“The ad-break follows the stars of Shortland Street’s present and past, alongside presenters Simon Dallow, Hayley Holt & Matty McLean and some well-known commercial faces, in a behind-the-scenes look at the set as they ‘shouted out’ nine advertising partners.
“This is another bold campaign from TVNZ, in which being brave was essential for all parties involved.”
The nine participating advertisers were:
- ASB/St John
- Briscoes
- Cadbury
- Hellers
- McDonald’s
- Mitsubishi
- Resene
- Skinny
- State Insurance
