WELLINGTON, Today: MediaWorks has established two new digital out-of-home sites in central Wellington. They went live this morning.
The sites take the number of new digital screens throughout Aotearoa to 12 for MediaWorks for the year so far.
The first is located on Kent Terrace, above the Embassy Theatre.
MediaWorks Outdoor director Angus Swainson said: “The high impact site is made up of two 11x3m and one 5.5 x 3m screens offering unparalleled visibility along Courtenay Place heading towards Oriental Bay.”
The second is a 11.2m x 3.2m landscape digital site on Thorndon Quay, known as Pipitea.
Angus Swainson: “The Pipitea site is located on a key route out of the city centre through to the north-eastern suburbs and features all-day traffic due to its retail surroundings and close proximity to Sky Stadium.
“MediaWorks is switching on the capital!”
“It’s fantastic to switch on two high-impact digital out-of-home sites in the capital, taking the total there to 14.
“Our Embassy Theatre site is an iconic location situated in the heart of Wellington’s entertainment precinct – surrounded by retail, restaurants, bars and home to theatre and movies.
“It captures a high pedestrian audience throughout the day and night and will be a key site as events return to New Zealand.
“In addition, with only a handful of digital landscape sites in Wellington, our new Pipitea landscape offering is perfect for making an impact..
“MediaWorks is focussed on the rapid expansion of premium large-format roadside digital screens in 2022 so it’s exciting to see two new digital sites go live in Wellington to support the needs of both local and national advertisers.
“The Embassy and Pipitea sites follow the launch of four other new locations in Wellington so far this year – Chews Lane, Thorndon Inbound, Vivian Blades and Te Aro, plus a refurbished Courtenay Place site.
