New Zealand’s first independent commerce agency, Multiplied, has been in business for one year.
Founded during the Covid lockdown of 2021, Multiplied was formed to bridge what the agency sees as a void that exists between the retail activation and brand-building ends of the advertising spectrum.
Following long-held roles with the Clemenger Group, partners Tom Roydhouse, Aaron Taylor and Troy Fuller created the agency to bring some new perspective and a refreshingly pragmatic approach for clients.
“Delivering in both the short and long-term was the idea behind Multiplied. We wanted to offer a dual approach to creativity that bridges the gap between short-term activation and long-term brand building,” says Roydhouse.
Recent projects include; designing a new alcoholic beverage from scratch, re-imagining a Kiwi-born bio-stimulant start-up, building a range of strong brand platforms for beloved Kiwi brands and delivering solid shopper, promotional, and activation-based work for household names.
With a growing team and a client list of some of New Zealand’s biggest brands, the agency prides itself on a progressive approach to people, placing a long-overdue emphasis on a more human approach to ‘HR’.
“We all know how hard it is to find good people right now. It’s as important as it’s ever been to attract and retain phenomenal talent. Giving people a safe place to do great work, feel properly valued and genuinely part of something is a massive focus for us,” says Fuller.
