AUCKLAND, Today: MediaCom NZ has announced the launch of its “new capabilities” – Creative Systems. MediaCom NZ managing director Zac Stephenson said: “As the agency prepares for the official launch of the new agency proposition EssenceMediaCom, this move signals the new shape of the agency in New Zealand.
“Creative Systems integrates media with data and tech-enabled creativity to drive brand relevance and accelerate growth for brands.
“The expanded capabilities form part of the strong foundation that will power the combined EssenceMediaCom agency, which will come to life in January 2023 when MediaCom will merge with Essence globally.
“In January 2023, MediaCom is merging with Essence to form EssenceMediacom, infusing Essence’s digital strategy, data-driven creative, analytics and technology capabilities with MediaCom’s world-class, scaled multichannel audience planning and strategic media expertise.
The new agency will operate across 125 offices and include 10,000 people.
“The expanded capabilities will come to life in January 2023 when MediaCom will merge with Essence globally.”
“The range of services offered by MediaCom NZ now includes branded entertainment, content & partnerships, influencer marketing, SEO, sports & entertainment, and esports & gaming.
“Fuelling these great new services for clients, an additional suite of new data-driven creative products is now available. These include addressable creative and creative analytics, which integrates addressable content, media and AI to better understand which ads work and which don’t, in turn, dramatically improving media performance.
“This marries the ambition of data driven media planning with application of messaging.”
Newly appointed head of creative systems Nick Licence will report directly to Stephenson.
Licence has held strategic planning roles across creative, media and digital networks in APAC, and most recently led strategic planning and ad tech delivery for Britomart-based indie, krunch.co.
Stephenson: “I’m hugely excited to bring someone of Nick’s calibre into the MediaCom family. His wealth of experience across strategy, creativity, media and technology makes him the perfect person to launch and lead Creative Systems.
“The new agency will operate across 125 offices and include 10,000 people.”
Our clients will greatly benefit from his, and the team’s outstanding capability in driving an enhanced media offering, particularly data-driven solutions that help our clients’ brands gain the cultural cut-through and relevance they truly deserve.”
Licence said: “When Zac outlined his vision for Creative Systems, its role in the future agency, and MediaCom’s people-first culture, I immediately wanted in.
“Being part of a team that ensures creativity lives its best life wherever, whenever and however it’s most relevant is hugely appealing. I’m really excited by the opportunity to bring this to some of New Zealand’s leading brands.”
Alongside Licence, recently promoted content & partnerships director Courtney Ramsdale will help drive branded entertainment, content partnerships and influencer marketing product, whilst Krystina Lynch and Rosa MacDonald will deliver project management across all Creative Systems workstreams.
