Auckland Central MP Chlöe Swarbrick has sent Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown a message he can’t ignore – promoting ideas she hopes he will support in Phantom Billstickers frames along his regular walking route.
Each message begins “Kia ora Mayor Brown” and the series of posters cover five topics including more environmental protection for the Hauraki Gulf, the pedestrianisation of Queen Street, improving Auckland’s night life, improving housing affordability, and a call to invest in public transport, walking and cycling.
The two-week campaign acts as a reminder of the subjects the pair talked about when they walked to work together on Friday, October 21.
“Phantom is your natural partner if you’ve got something specific to say to people on the streets where they live, commute, shop and play,” says Phantom Billstickers.
“You can connect your message to the surroundings – like Chlöe Swarbrick, with her passion for pedestrianisation. There’s a special magic that happens when people encounter posters that speak to the issues that affect them right where they are.”
