According to the recently released report by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), advertising revenue for the 12 months ending on December 31, 2022, across main media was $ 3.389 million, up from $ 3.195 million in 2021.
The data in the turnover report is from television, newspapers, magazines, interactive media, radio, outdoor, addressed mail, unaddressed mail, and cinema.
According to the latest statistics, digital advertising is still leading the way, with digital-only advertising generating $ 1,778 million in revenue. Television advertising generated a healthy $ 517 million while digital television produced $ 82 million.
Newspapers and newspaper digital also held up well and contributed $ 219 million and $ 119 million respectively, while radio generated $ 266 million in revenue. Magazines and magazines digital brought in $ 117 million and $ 36 million respectively and Out of Home advertising generated $ 183 million. Addressed mail and unaddressed mail follow at $ 22 million and $ 33 million respectively. Cinema advertising contributed $ 10 million to the overall revenue.
