Digital advertising revenue in New Zealand grew by 9.6 percent in 2022 compared to the previous year according to The IAB New Zealand FY 2022 Digital Advertising Revenue Report.
Share of New Zealand Advertising Turnover is now 59.8 percent compared to 57.8 percent in 2021, up 2.0 percentage points. This represents year-on-year growth in share for digital revenue of 3.5 percent.
Total digital advertising revenue in New Zealand continued to climb, reaching $ 2.025 billion for the full year 2022 and growth of 9.6 percent over the previous year, compared to total advertising turnover growth of 6.1 percent.
Given the continued increase in digital advertising share of New Zealand Advertising Turnover, it is clear advertisers have increased their use of digital advertising to support their business goals, including emerging data-led and e-commerce initiatives.
