The Radio Bureau is calling for audio artisans to enter for 2023 Outstanding Radio Creative Awards (ORCA).
These awards provide a much sought after opportunity for those working in ad-land to present their talent as broadcast bards and make the industry sit up and listen.
“ORCA has consistently brought together some of the most creative minds in the country, and past winners have demonstrated just how effective and impactful audio advertising can be. We’re thrilled to once again provide a platform for creatives to showcase their talents and look forward to hearing this year’s entries,” says Peter Richardson, General Manager of The Radio Bureau.
This year the competition is split into two categories: Standard Campaign (15-60 second on-air spots) and Non-Standard Campaign (including alternative lengths, adlets, announcer reads, traffic products, and podcasts).
A Grand ORCA will be awarded in each category, as well as one overall People’s Choice Award:The Grand ORCA: $ 5000 Cash Prize & $ 5000 Radio Schedule People’s Choice Award: $ 2000 Cash Prize & $ 2000 Radio Schedule.
The competition is open to agency and independent creatives who have had a campaign on air in New Zealand between July 1 2022 and June 30 2023. Submitting an entry is as easy as sending in an audio file and some basic campaign details through trb.co.nz/orca.
ORCA campaigns will be judged based on creativity, execution, effectiveness, and innovation. The esteemed panel of judges for the 2023 awards will be announced in due course.
