AUCKLAND, Friday: M+AD Daily has this morning placed on hold a MediaWorks release – after a complaint from an Auckland publisher who claims the release contained confusing information.
The release – about three new hires (one of whom was Cara Allan) – ran briefly yesterday, under the heading MediaWorks strengthens agency OOH team.
Denizen magazine editor-in-chief Claire Sullivan-Kraus wrote us: “I’d like a retraction published regarding the Mediaworks OOH story, please.
“M+AD will reinstate the story if and when those involved can agree on an update.”
“Cara Allan is still working for me until 12th May – another month – so this story is incorrect, and has created a lot of confusion amongst our clients at a time when we are trying to close advertising on our next issue.
“I have no idea who thought it was appropriate to be promoting someone in a new position when they are still under contract somewhere else.
“I’d appreciate an update on this to clarify things.”
M+AD ed David Gapes said he would reinstate the story if and when those involved could agree on an update.
