AUCKLAND, Thursday: Film Construction has welcomed director Sam Kelly – who shot New Zealand feature film Savage in 2019 – to its team.
FC executive producer Belinda Bradley said: “Sam, a skilled performance director, has impressed the NZ film industry with his ability to capture emotion and create authentic cinematic characters.”
Savage opened at #1 at the New Zealand box office and is one of the top 20 highest-grossing films locally. In addition, his short film Lambs has screened in competition at the Berlinale, Clermont Ferrand, Melbourne, and Uppsala international film festivals.
