Hot Mustard Communications, a creative agency based in Auckland, has announced the appointment of new Group Account Director, Natalie Allen.
Allen previously served as the head of marketing at Kings Plant Barn for the last five years. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the account service team and drive the expansion of the agency’s strategic and digital services.
With a strong agency and retail background, Allen’s career has included marketing positions at The Appliance Shed and JWT Auckland as well as being a board member for Oke Charity.
Allen has previously worked at Hot Mustard, which specialises in agribusiness and B2B machinery industries, starting her advertising and marketing career with the agency 19 years ago.
“It feels like I’m coming home and I couldn’t be happier about being back,” says Allen. “The leadership style of owners Paul and Nickie has inspired me since I first worked with them nearly two decades ago and I owe much of my career success in marketing and advertising to the foundational learning they gave me.
“Hot Mustard has consistently offered creative ideation, branding, campaign execution, media and web development over the last 26 years, but with the changing advertising landscape, my role is to grow the strategic support we offer our clients and add value to our digital marketing offering, while also looking for growth opportunities with new clients,” she says.
Allen will be working across all clients in Hot Mustard’s portfolio including Claas, JCB, Boehringer Ingelheim, Agricom, PGG Wrightson Seeds, NIWA, Bayer, Beatty’s and Allied Medical.
“I’m really looking forward to gaining a deeper understanding of our clients’ business. With my background in both agency and marketing teams, I can offer a unique perspective for our clients as I’ve been in their shoes.
“My leadership team experience also means I can effectively manage stakeholder expectations at all levels. I know how important delivering ROI is for marketing teams these days and I’m very excited to be part of the team again, delivering measurable success to our clients.”
Founder and Managing Director Paul Bell says: “We’re so thrilled to welcome Nat back to the team. Her strategic abilities and commercial experience will elevate our offering to both existing and new clients. She has a positive energy that’s infectious, and we’re all very excited to embark on this next chapter of growth for Hot Mustard.”
