PHD Aotearoa has won Gold in the Cannes Media Category for Skinny: Phone It In. The award comes less than a week after PHD Aotearoa’s sweep of wins at the 2023 Beacon awards, where Skinny took home six awards across six different categories.
PHD Aotearoa Creative Integration Lead, Amanda Palenski, said that PHD’s creative ambition, and a client willing to push the boundaries, were the perfect recipe to deliver business results.
Of the campaign, Palenski says: “We had a lot of fun with this campaign thanks to the geniuses at Colenso BBDO, and an amazing client who was comfortable enough to hand us the reigns and push an idea way past what we would usually accept. Phone It In is a brilliant example of creative and media collaboration, and the great results delivered were a testament to our absolute dedication to using creativity as our superpower.”
Ally Young, Skinny Brand Lead, says: “We are beyond excited to win a Media Gold Lion for Phone It In. We’ve always believed that when media and creative work closely together, magical things happen, and Phone It In sings that message far and wide. We knew from the outset that we had a great campaign on our hands, but the way the team worked to push it to a whole new level is why it delivered such great business results and has now been recognised on the industry’s biggest stage.”
In addition to the Gold Lion for Use of Channel Integration, the campaign was also awarded a Silver Lion for Use of Audio Platforms.
