SYDNEY, Thursday: Former Clemenger BBDO Sydney ceo, Clemenger Melbourne chair, Clemenger NZ ceo, and most recently chair of BBDO Europe, Jim Moser has resigned from the network to return to Australia, reports Michael Lynch in Campaign Brief.
“He is set to return for a yet-to-be announced new phase in his illustrious career,” Lynch wrote. “Moser announced the news on his LinkedIn page this morning:”
Moser said: “It’s a BIG day for me. After 29+ years at BBDO, I’m leaving the agency.
“I have loved my time at BBDO – from Poland, to Italy, to Australia, to New Zealand, and most recently, to the United Kingdom/Europe.
“What an incredible career and opportunity for me and my family, to travel the world and experience so many special places and so many talented people. I’ve been fortunate, very fortunate.
“I am NOT retiring. I’m too young and I have too much energy to stop contributing. There is so much more I want to do, but not in a large fulltime corporate role.”
“I am NOT retiring. I’m too young and I have too much energy to stop contributing. There is so much more I plan and want to do, but not in a large full time corporate role.
“As much as I have loved these roles for the past few decades, it is time to do something different and to challenge myself again. I have a lot of ideas and a few interesting options, but for now, I’ll take some time off and then plot a course for the future.
“There have been many people that have influenced and guided my BBDO career since 1994. Clemenger. My sincere thanks to all of you (and others) who kept challenging me with new roles, supported me unconditionally, and always valued me and my contribution.
“There are so many talented people that I have worked with over the past 29 years at BBDO. All of them have positively influenced me and my career, and I hope, I have in some way returned the favour.
“Being grateful is the definition of happiness, and I am eternally grateful for the last 29 years.
“Thank you BBDO.”
