With the experience and events sector seeing strong growth post-pandemic, Grey Lynn based brand experience agency Uno Loco is strengthening its leadership ranks with two strategic appointments.
Tor White has joined as Principal Strategist and General Manager. Her previous roles include Global Creative Director of STA Travel, London (the largest student and youth travel agency in the world) where she directed the creation and roll-out of global brand content and marketing, redefined retail, and created their global music strategy.
Back in Aotearoa White has worked as creative director, strategist and consultant across brands and agencies including Blunt, Designworks and Lewis Road Creamery.
White believes “brands are living things, future-fit businesses must be platforms for good, and creativity is a super-power for driving positive change”.
Kevin Akers is Uno Loco’s new Group Digital Director. He arrived in New Zealand in 2007 to set up the digital production team at FCB in Auckland, with subsequent stints at Born Digital, .99/JustOne/Raydar and BCG2. He has been delivering digital experiences for over 25 years, working across a range of industries including banking, government, entertainment and advertising. Akers is expert in delivering effortless digital experiences for customers and using analytics to uncover insights and grow performance for clients.
“We’re delighted to have two such high calibre humans join our team – both Tor and Kevin are experts in their craft, and their expertise will give us new ways to deliver incredible moments of connection for our clients and our team,” says CEO Blair Glubb.
