Last night eight agency bands battled it out at the 14th annual Battle of the Ad Bands hosted by Flying Fish and Comms Council with oOh!media and Shout Media’s The Poster Boys coming out on top.
While the judging panel, comprising Steve Dunstan, Founder of Huffer, Daniel Barnes, Founder of The Future Is Unwritten, and Tracy Magan, Event and Finance Manager at ASB Classic were thoroughly impressed by the outstanding performances, one band emerged as the ultimate victors – The Poster Boys.
With a captivating setlist that blended hits like “Smooth Criminal” by Alien Ant Farm, “Wild Child” by The Black Keys, “Elephant” by Tame Impala, “Feel Good Inc” by Gorillaz, “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish, and “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People, The Poster Boys had the audience rocking throughout their performance.
As a testament to their exceptional talent and dedication, The Poster Boys have been awarded a slew of prizes, including a $ 100 Sal’s Pizza Voucher, a production run of their own bespoke ice cream flavour from Much Moore Ice Cream, a $ 500 Lunch at Prego restaurant and most importantly, the coveted BOTAB Trophy.
This year’s Battle of the Ad Bands was made possible through the generous support of our sponsors, whose contributions ensured a night filled with excitement and fantastic prizes. We extend our sincere gratitude to The Radio Bureau, Apex Insurance, Fortis Travel, Radio Hauraki/NZME, Huffer, Much Moore, Coffee Supreme, Prego, and Sal’s Pizza.
