PR and communications agency HMC has appointed Emma Letessier as Senior Account Manager.
With almost two decades of experience, Letessier has a wide range of skills in both the B2B and B2C mar-comms disciplines, with a key focus on engineering and technology. She brings a mix of corporate communications, media relations, public affairs, product marketing, e-commerce and digital marketing experience to the agency.
Beginning her career in the UK, she has worked both in-house – as the UK PR & Communications Manager for Robert Bosch – and agency side for clients such as The Duke of Edinburgh Award, National Instruments, Saint Gobain, and Eaton Corporation.
Letessier also lived in France for six years, where she worked as a freelancer for companies worldwide that needed support with their digital marketing. This gave her the opportunity to develop skills in social media management and digital content creation.
Having returned to New Zealand in early 2020, Letessier comes to HMC from the PR & Communications team at Gallagher Security, where she was responsible for implementing a significant lift in the public relations and media relations activity of the company across their UK/Europe, Australia and IMEA (India, Middle East and Africa) regions.
“It’s wonderful to join the team at HMC – a highly regarded agency with a reputation for doing public relations right,” says Letessier.
“I’ve always considered an integrated approach to communications, combining the best tactics to achieve a client or company objective. This provides amazing opportunities to be highly creative across the whole communications mix – whether that involves traditional public relations or more pioneering channels in digital marketing. I love getting results for clients that boost their brand and support their business objectives and I look forward to doing this at HMC.”
HMC director Heather Claycomb says Letessier is a great fit for HMC and its clients.
“Having the combination of prior experience both in-house and agency side means Emma has a good understanding of what success looks like for the companies we partner with. Emma will fit right in at HMC as she relates to the way we operate as a highly ethical PR agency with integrity in how we do business.
“With the combined strength of our team, we’re well positioned to provide our clients with strategic, creative and innovation communications that really make an impact.”
