AUCKLAND, Tuesday: While it may not have been the result many of us wanted, it didn’t stop over 1.5 million New Zealanders from tuning in to watch the Rugby World Cup 2023 final free-to air via Sky Open or on Sky Sport, according to Niellsen.
This makes the final the highest rating programme YTD across all channels in the important AP25-54 demo, with a Sky Sport and Sky Open combined average audience rating of 27.5.
In addition, the final was streamed over 485,000 times across Sky streaming platforms, Sky Go and Sky Sport Now.
“We are also incredibly proud to share that over 71,000 New Zealanders tuned into the te reo Māori commentary.”
