MBM’s week of awards

AUCKLAND, Tuesday: MBM New Zealand has continued to build on their digital achievements, taking home eight awards at the IAB NZ Digital Advertising Awards 2023, as well as Agency of the Quarter at the 2023 AUNZ Google Honours Awards.

MBM were awarded four Golds and four Silvers across Fire & Emergency New Zealand, Trade Me, Griffins and Waka Kotahi campaigns, making them the second most decorated agency of the night.

Public safety campaigns You’re Cooked and Extinguishing Fire Danger for Fire & Emergency, earned MBM Gold for Best Multi-Channel Integration Campaign, Best Brand Campaign, Best Use of DOOH, Best Use of Social, and Silver for SEM/SEO.

MBM’s previous head of digital median (now head of PMX) Kate Grigg was presented with a Grand Award for Council Member of the Year, in recognition of her contribution to growing and shaping the media industry, positively influencing IAB membership and stakeholder thinking.

MBM chief digital officer, Emily Isle said: “The IAB Awards recognise the collaboration and innovation digital requires. Every award reflects brave clients, a brilliant agency team and ground-breaking partners, all culminating in the effective work that’s the lifeblood of our MBM whānau.

“Awarded Agency of the Year in 2022, MBM’s Search team has also won Agency of the Quarter at the prestigious Q3 Google Honours Awards, recognised for their achievements in performance advertising against the very best agencies and providers across Australia and New Zealand.

Senior search director Charlotte Lobo, was also awarded the Agency Rockstar accolade, accrediting her talent in achieving exceptional advertising performance and making significant contributions toward the execution of meaningful best practices in the industry.


“Additionally, MBM has welcomed Education NZ, Sport NZ, and CERT NZ as new clients this year.”
