Chemistry founding partner/executive CD Pat Murphy departs for new adventure

AUCKLAND, Tuesday: Chemistry founding partner and executive creative director Pat Murphy has departed the agency. For a we-earned break.

“For those of you who may not have heard, after almost 11 years (didn’t quite make the 11th birthday) as Founding Partner, ECD and Co-Owner of Metro-Expo, not to mention 15 Years partnered with Susan Young, I am no longer part of Team Chemistry.

“It has been a crazy journey and I’m extremely proud of being part of building the agency into the well respected and award-winning agency it is today.

“I’m now taking some time out over the early summer and will decide where to now. I look forward to whatever that looks like.”

“A big shout out has to go out to the incredible, talented and fun team who were not only colleagues but family as well, working with you has been a privilege.

“A big thanks to all the clients who had the confidence to let us fly with the ideas and, lastly, thanks to the suppliers who didn’t say ‘impossible’ rather ‘how can we make this happen’. Together some truly outstanding work was created over the years.

“I’m now taking some time out over the early summer and will decide where to now. I look forward to whatever that looks like.
