AUCKLAND, Yesterday: Saatchi & Saatchi is expanding its strategic horizons by bringing on board Brendan Greenwell as the new Connected Strategy Director. It’s a move that signals the agency’s commitment to a holistic approach.
Greenwell is stepping into a key role, aiming to weave brands into the fabric of the total marketing ecosystem. His appointment marks a significant investment in connected strategies.
With his extensive background in digital and media, Brendan is set to steer Westpac New Zealand’s strategic direction, aligning with the innovative Publicis Groupe Connected Platform model.
“I first worked with Saatchi & Saatchi as an intern 10 years ago at Toyota. Ever since then, they’ve been an aspirational agency for me.”
Before joining Saatchi, Brendan honed his skills at FCB, diving deep into data, tech, and marketing. His strategic prowess was also polished at global powerhouses like Mediacom Worldwide and Initiative Global, working with major international brands.
Greenwell reminisced about his early days and aspirations, “I first worked with Saatchi & Saatchi as an intern 10 years ago at Toyota. Ever since then, they’ve been an aspirational agency for me, understanding Kiwi culture better than anyone and making work that’s famous in culture. Now with the Connected Platform model in full swing, I am excited by the possibilities across the iconic brands they work with.”
Echoing the sentiment, David McIndoe, Saatchi & Saatchi Chief Strategy Officer, praised Brendan’s diverse expertise, “Brendan brings strategic expertise from a range of viewpoints; creative, media and client side. His insight, inventiveness and broader marketing perspective make him a great addition to the Saatchi strategy team.”
