DDB Group Aotearoa NZ is celebrating winning Agency of the Year at the Axis Awards, its third ‘agency of the year’ award in 2024 after being named top New Zealand agency by Campaign Brief (Australia) and Spikes (AsiaPac).
At AXIS DDB, with sister agencies Mango Communications and Track+Tribal Aotearoa, won a Grand Prix and three golds for its already highly awarded Correct the Internet campaign, along with six silvers and five bronzes, for Volkswagen, Speight’s, McDonald’s, Goodman Fielder, L&P and Samsung campaigns.
“They say good things come in threes and we’re incredibly pleased with our trio of agency of the year awards and all the lovely recognition at AXIS,” DDB Group CEO Priya Patel says.
“Awards like this tell us that we are consistently delivering effective creative work that makes a difference to our clients’ business. It was great to celebrate our efforts last night and also the amazing work being developed in Aotearoa by our peers,” Patel added.
DDB’s Chief Creative Officer, Matty Burton said, “I am super proud of how our people show up everyday to help our clients win in their respective spaces. I’m also thrilled with our diversity of work, all of it moving people to act. If you look at the AXIS finalist list, we are delivering this for many clients, from Team Heroine for Correct the Internet to McDonald’s, VW, Lion, Goodman Fielder and L&P. It’s an incredible body of work. And we want to thank our production partners who bring help this to life.
“I also just want to acknowledge that we had four junior teams up for Emerging Talent. Even though none of them were successful on the night we are so proud of them and their efforts, they are all rockstars in their own way,” Burton said.
