Warner Bros. Discovery ANZ announces new Networks Leadership team

Warner Bros. Discovery ANZ has announced its revamped networks leadership team, as it looks to the future in its new business model.

Juliet Peterson, VP, Head of Networks, ANZ, who leads the business, says the new team is an exciting mix of new, and experienced faces.

“This year has been immensely challenging for the WBD ANZ networks team, with huge and disruptive changes. I think this refreshed leadership team is exactly the right group of people to take us into the future and chart a pathway to success.”

The new members of the leadership team are:

  • Matt Barthow, who is now Senior Director, Content, ANZ
  • Charlotte Holden, Director, Legal, ANZ, and
  • Stephanie Taylor-Carrillo, Director, Corporate Comms, ANZ

They will join the existing leadership team members of:

  • James Hole, Senior Director, Revenue, ANZ
  • Sasha Mackie, Senior Director, Marketing, ANZ
  • Gab Ayoub, GVP, Head of Creative, APAC
  • Noni Ahluwalia, Senior Director, FP&A, ANZ & Japan
  • Richard Beniston, now Senior Director, Product and Data, ANZ

Richard Sutherland, Head of News and Kylie Elsom, VP P&C, ANZ, will remain with the business until July 31.

“It is going to be incredibly difficult to say goodbye to so many amazing people who we work with, but looking into the future, I’m excited by the potential of the new business. We have the best team in the sector, and clear plans to scale audiences with market leading content and products,” says Peterson.

“I especially want to single out Matt Barthow, who has been working in the Flower Street studios since 2007, starting out as an intern. Now as Senior Director, Content, he will lead content strategy, programming, acquisition, commissioning and scheduling for WBD’s portfolio of Pay and free-to-air channels and platforms across Australia and New Zealand.”

The new business model begins fully on July 8, with a transition period until then.
