AUCKLAND, Today: The Independent Media Agencies of Australia (IMAA) has announced a major partnership with the Independent Media Agencies of New Zealand (IMANZ).
IMANZ is now an international affiliate of the IMAA. This allows IMANZ to benefit from IMAA’s initiatives and policies, supporting their setup, commercialisation, and governance.
IMANZ members can also leverage IMAA’s education initiatives. There are plans to explore regional group deals too.
Like IMAA, IMANZ is a not-for-profit industry association. Launched last year, IMANZ has grown to over 40 members and nearly 20 media partners, including LinkedIn, Meta, and TikTok.
IMAA CEO, Sam Buchanan, said: “We’re thrilled to launch our first-ever affiliate offering with a fellow national independent media agency body and we’re looking forward to seeing the benefits of a strong regional alliance.”

This affiliation is an opportunity to establish a strong, united regional community, and harness the benefits of collaboration, including increased expansion in these markets.”

The agreement is effective immediately.
