UnLtd Aotearoa taps Sheryl Dunlop to support Kiwi youth

AUCKLAND, Today: Sheryl Dunlop is stepping in as the new General Manager for UnLtd Aotearoa, the social purpose organisation for New Zealand’s media, marketing, and creative industry.

With over 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, Sheryl has worked both client-side and agency-side. She’s passionate about making a real difference for our rangatahi.

Sheryl’s last role was at Hato Hone St John, where she was the National Manager for Brand and Digital Marketing. She also volunteered as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Lead.

Before that, she held roles like Head of Marketing at Whakarongorau Aotearoa and General Manager of Brand & Communications at NZME. Her experience is impressive and varied.

UnLtd Aotearoa, which launched 18 months ago, focuses on uniting the advertising industry to support charities helping young Kiwis.

Sheryl will be based in Auckland and will start her new role on Monday, August 19. She plans to create partnerships between the industry and UnLtd’s charity partners to support young Kiwis.

She’ll also be growing UnLtd’s Mediabook fundraising program and leading events like the Big Clash cricket tournament, UnLtd Open golf day, and UnLtd: Dodgeball competition.

Born in Auckland with Tongan and Fijian-Indian roots, Sheryl has been studying tikanga and te reo Māori at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa for the past two years.

Sheryl added, “I’m so excited to be joining UnLtd Aotearoa and combining my marketing skills and media connections with my passion for diversity, equity & inclusion. We have some big issues to tackle to support our rangatahi but I know firsthand the power that our industry can have when we work together.”
