Sky NZ expands sales team with fresh talent

AUCKLAND, Today: Sky New Zealand is expanding its sales team, aiming to boost its ad market share following recent successes. Their latest hires include several senior leaders in newly created roles to fuel growth.

Phil Lucy is now Head of Commercial Operations and Revenue Management, Sharon Daly joins as Senior Research and Insights Lead, and Lisa Ison takes on the role of Head of Digital Product Monetisation.

Lauren Quaintance, Sky’s Chief Media and Data Officer, stated, “After making huge strides in FY24 growing our revenue by 13% and delivering record-breaking share, we can now confidently say that Sky has the best team in the business to help us to go after the opportunity in front of us.”

Phil Lucy manages revenue and sales operations across Sky’s multi-channel offerings, driving the company’s expansion from linear to digital and social platforms. He previously served as Commercial Director for oOh Media! across Australia and New Zealand.

Sharon Daly’s focus is on understanding Sky’s total audience and helping advertisers effectively engage with them. Sharon was previously Director of Insights at Warner Bros. Discovery, making her a key addition to Sky’s strategic efforts.

Lisa Ison will guide the development of new digital products, monetising content on platforms like YouTube and podcasts. Lisa joins Sky from MediaWorks, where she was Head of Digital Revenue.

Max Havaux will continue leading Sky’s ad tech roadmap, including the introduction of digital advertising on Sky Sport Now, further expanding Sky’s ad reach.

Recent sales team additions include Jarrod Walker-Redmond as Integration Specialist, Adam Salim as Business Executive, and Anna Lloyd as Media Strategist. These appointments reflect Sky’s commitment to driving creative, strategic advertising solutions for their clients.
