Film Construction is thrilled to announce the addition of Dahnu Graham to its director roster, who brings his own fresh perspective and authentic voice.
Known for his undeniable charisma as a performer, Graham has recently channelled his creative energy into film directing. Having completed his first short film earlier this year, ‘Te Ahi,’ which has been slated for international festival screenings, Graham now adds his unique storytelling expertise to advertising’s diverse landscape.
Graham’s debut commercial project just completed with Ogilvy NZ — a series of one-shot spots for Auckland University’s ‘If Not You, Then Who’ campaign — reflects his ability to deliver elegant and arresting work.
Graham’s skill in orchestrating these natural, refined moments sets him apart as a director with a humble yet powerful touch.
“Dahnu’s gift lies in his ability to connect with actors and evoke authentic and captivating performances,” says Belinda Bradley, Executive Producer at Film Construction.
“His work with Ogilvy is a testament to his talent, and we are excited to see how he continues to evolve within the commercial space.”
His short film “Te Ahi (The Fire)”, a deeply personal exploration of character-driven storytelling, showcases his ability to craft sharp, emotionally resonant narratives. His contribution as director Troy Kingi’s visual album “Black Sea Golden Ladder” was a standout part of that unique artistic project.
As a proud member of Ngāpuhi and Te Aupōuri iwi, Graham’s cultural commitment adds another layer to his work.
