AUCKLAND, Today: Abe’s Bagels is rolling out a new, lighter option for bagel lovers across New Zealand and Australia with its latest product, THIIINS.
The Auckland-based brand’s new thin bagels offer a slimmer, lower-calorie take on the classic bagel. THIIINS are the first thin bagels available in New Zealand and the first to launch nationwide in Australia.
CEO Jesse Newson shared that THIIINS cater to consumers wanting a lighter breakfast option. “We’re thrilled to launch Abe’s THIIINS, a product that reflects our commitment to meeting evolving customer needs,” he said.
Newson added, “We can see more people seeking healthier choices, which still deliver the great bagel experience they love… We wanted to create a product that fits into modern, active lifestyles.”

THIIINS were developed in response to growing demand for a lighter option, offering the same satisfying chew at less than 152 calories per bagel. No compromises needed!
Seeing thin bagels capture 20% of the UK market, Abe’s spotted a major opportunity to bring their own spin to it. “Our Bagel THIIINS have the same bagel taste and texture, but thinner and fewer calories than two slices of toast, making them an ideal choice for consumers seeking balance in their diets,” said Newson.
Abe’s invested in a new production line and brought THIIINS to market in just six months. “Consumers are loving them too, with strong sales across New Zealand and Australia,” Newson noted.
With a 70% market share, Abe’s bakes over a million bagels weekly. THIIINS are now available in supermarkets across New Zealand and Australia.
