oOh!media New Zealand is expanding its national street furniture network into Whangārei, introducing 10 new advertising panels that will be connected to five new Locky Dock locations.
The new infrastructure has been deployed to meet the increasing needs of micro mobility users in Aotearoa’s northern-most city.
This latest expansion is aligned to oOh!media’s ongoing strategy to pioneer the evolution of advertising funded public infrastructure, delivering civic benefit in communities across the motu, as well creating new opportunities for advertisers to access hard to reach audiences.
Working in partnership with Big Street Bikers, the New Zealand-based company and creators of Locky Docks, this innovative public amenity enables more people to ride more often by providing free secure parking and charging for bikes and e-bikes.
Already successful in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), Whakatāne, Paraparaumu, and Ōtautahi (Christchurch), oOh!’s Locky Dock network enables sustainable urban mobility by delivering this innovative infrastructure free to the public.
The demand for oOh!’s expanding OOH advertising solutions is evident, with the first tranche of deployed assets generating strong impressions, fulfilling the growing need for advertisers in previously underserved OOH markets.
In Whangārei alone, the network will engage 31,559 Kiwis weekly—68% of the Whangārei population—providing over 880,000 audience contacts and more than 2.2 million impressions.

The Whangārei expansion builds on the success of oOh!’s partnership with Big Street Bikers, which began in 2023. Integrating Locky Docks with digital advertising panels allows advertisers to connect with consumers in high-traffic areas while helping create a greener, more connected future.

oOh!media plans to extend Locky Dock installations to more communities nationwide, including in previously underserved regions.
