Entries are now open for the 2025 Axis Awards, a celebration of Aotearoa’s advertising creativity. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 27 March at the Viaduct Events Centre.
Governed by a newly formed Creative Council, and chaired by Gary Steele, Chief Creative Officer at DDB Aotearoa, the 2025 Axis Awards acknowledge the role of creativity and craft in Kiwi advertising.
This year, new categories have been introduced to further acknowledge excellence in production craft (Casting, Production Design, Animation, Craft Emerging Talent, and, for the first time, a Craft Grand Axis) as well as the evolving nature of advertising (e.g., Longform Audio, Purchase Experience).
“Creativity is the lifeblood of our industry. The Creative Council have refreshed the Axis Awards categories, approach to judging, and the manner in which we celebrate the best of our industry. We’re looking forward to recognising teams across Aotearoa who work tirelessly to ensure business and social outcomes through creativity,” says Steele.
Entries are now open, closing on 28 January 2025. To download the Call for Entry and submit your work, please visit the Comms Council website.
