Every year, Publicis Groupe Chairman and CEO Arthur Sadoun sends out a company-wide memo, called The Wishes, to staff, providing updates and wishing them a happy holiday.
This memo always comes with its own spin and 2024 is no different – this time, Sadoun is joined by rapper and Paris Olympics hype man Snoop Dogg – and The Wishes becomes The Wishzels.
Dogg fronts the video, sharing tales of Publicis’ success throughout the year, including winning Agency of the Year at Cannes, as well as his commentary on the global race to become the largest holding company in the industry.
“What I do know is that Americas, Brits and French have been competing to see which holding company is the top dog. And this year, Publicis has overtaken them all,” says Dogg.
“Le number f…… one. They’ve been rocking and rolling, they won’t stop till the casket drop. You heard it – France is going to win gold, in more than just swimming, fencing and canoeing.”
He gives the Publicis logo a redesign to include a dog (of course) and even changes his name to Le Snoop, before he and Sadoun show off their moves.
As Publicis says in its press release, with a French ad company on track to take the #1 spot for the first time ever, who better than Le Snoop, official Olympic hype man – and Maurice’s favourite rapper – to congratulate the teams on achieving a personal best in a record-breaking year?
