Give Me Babies takes top comedy prize

AUCKLAND, Friday: Give Me Babies, the action-comedy with a knockout punch and a lot of heart, has taken home Best Comedy at the New Zealand Television Awards. Part of TVNZ’s Motherhood Anthology series, it’s a hit from Auckland production house Eyes & Ears.

Co-created by Director Calvin Sang and Writer Ankita Singh (of Oriental Maidens), with Briar Collard as Executive Producer, the film balances laughs, action, and an emotional core. It tells the story of a young MMA fighter battling in underground matches to fund her escape from New Zealand—and her mum’s relentless baby demands.
