AUCKLAND, Today: JD Sports has teamed up with Starcom Australia to create an engaging out-of-home campaign, helping Auckland commuters find their ideal shoe size and save time this Christmas.
Throughout December, two custom-built bus shelters in Auckland will feature interactive installations that let commuters measure their foot size, making holiday shopping more convenient and entertaining.
The campaign targets 18–45-year-olds, inspiring them during their shopping journeys. The shelters also showcase JD Sports’ seasonal FAMILY campaign, highlighting the bonds that define personal style and holiday traditions.
Featuring icons like UK rapper Central Cee, the FAMILY campaign connects JD’s audience to cultural figures while showcasing its latest collection. Five additional shelters and multiple other sites across Auckland will also feature the campaign.
“It’s been fantastic collaborating with JD Sports to launch our new partnership through standout special-built bus shelters across Auckland.” – Cassie Broad
Michael Weatherston, APAC Marketing Director at JD Sports, said, “Being a relatively new entrant to the New Zealand marketplace, we knew that we wanted to drive a higher impact media strategy for our key trading period.
“Connecting authentically to our audience is something that we are extremely passionate about, so being able to leverage a key global talent dressed in locally stocked products was the perfect catalyst to elevate our media strategy through bespoke formats.”
“This is the first time we’ve considered a build-based execution, and we’re proud that we have been able to partner with Starcom Australia and utilise impactful formats to elevate our campaign further in New Zealand.”
Cassie Broad, Business Director at Starcom Australia added, “It’s been fantastic collaborating with JD Sports to launch our new partnership through standout special-built bus shelters across Auckland. These installations will capture attention and cut through the Christmas clutter to engage our key audiences.”
JD Sports’ custom-built bus shelters will remain in Auckland until 29 December 2024.
