Special PR is welcoming Jessica McColl to the team, who joins as Head of Brand Experience.
McColl brings over two decades of creative and experiential know-how, with an impressive career spanning agencies and freelance roles in New Zealand.
Her new position will see her leading Special PR’s experiential offering for its client portfolio, including Moet Hennessy, Tourism New Zealand, Restaurant Brands, and long-standing client Jaguar Land Rover.
Special PR Managing Director Kelly Grindle says that while Special PR has a track record of delivering campaigns that generate headlines, over the last year, the agency has incorporated more brand-led experiences that foster deeper connections between clients and the public.
“Last year, we were determined to create bigger, better and bolder campaigns that brought the consumers to the heart of the experience and challenged the way they interact and think about brands. This proved wildly successful with the likes of the KFC Gravy Train, Tiger Venue Veterans, and Pizza Hut’s 50th Buffet.”
“We’re excited to continue growing and expanding our experiential offering with Jessica at the helm. Her proven capabilities and creative outlook bring a fresh perspective to our clients,” he adds.
Full circle
McColl, who joins from Mango, says Special PR has built a revered legacy in just a few short years and is looking forward to bolstering its offering across events and activations.
“In many ways, it feels like I have come full circle – I supported Special on brand experiences and activations over a decade ago, supporting on campaigns like ‘Play The Bridge’ for 2Degrees and Smirnoff Night Projects. Now I’m thrilled to build a robust brand experience and activation offering working alongside the existing team and suppliers.”
Based in the Auckland office, Jessica has joined Special PR with immediate effect.
