Motion Sickness has been appointed as agency of record for Pizza Hut New Zealand after a competitive pitch.
Pizza Hut was attracted to Motion Sickness’ fresh approach to advertising and track record of driving brand growth within New Zealand.
Clark Wilson, Marketing Director at Restaurant Brands, says, “Motion Sickness attracted us because they have such a strong track record of breakthrough and creative campaigns in New Zealand. They always have their finger on the pulse of both culture and creative best practice and we are looking forward to partnering with them on the Pizza Hut brand going forward.”
Don’t Sleep on It
The agency kicks off its partnership with a playful warning: Don’t Sleep On It, a cheeky campaign for Cheesy Bites that warns indulgence may come with an unexpected side effect — a phenomenon known as ‘cheese dreams’.
The launch began with influencers fanning the flames of an online conspiracy about the conspiracy, followed by a full rollout across TV, OOH, print, and in-store.
The win continues to bolster the agency’s recent run of new client growth and recognition. Alex McManus, GM, speaks about the significance of the appointment for the agency.
“The opportunity for Motion Sickness to partner with a global name like Pizza Hut is incredibly exciting and something we really value – I think it highlights the direction this talented team is heading after such a big year prior. From the first meeting I think it was clear we would work well together.”
