OOHMAA invests in future with new team structure

OOHMAA is making significant investment in the future of the out of home industry by announcing a new CEO role – the existing position held by Natasha O’Connor has been disestablished.

This position will oversee both OOHMAA and the upcoming unified audience measurement system (AMS), replacing Calibre. A further announcement on this service will be shared in the coming weeks.

With strong industry growth and the need to support a unified AMS, the Boards of the two organisations are investing in a changed and strengthened organisational structure to better serve stakeholders and support the long-term ambitions of the out of home industry.

Close collaboration

To support this expansion, alongside the new CEO, OOHMAA will introduce two additional roles:

  • A product manager to oversee the ongoing development of the AMS platform.
  • A marketing executive to accelerate OOHMAA’s growth strategy.

The new team will be based in Auckland, ensuring close collaboration and strong engagement with key industry stakeholders.

Paul Maher, independent chair of OOHMAA and Calibre, says, “As OOHMAA continues to evolve, it’s essential that our team is well-positioned to collaborate effectively and stay closely connected to the industry we serve. These three new roles, based in Auckland, create the opportunity to work seamlessly as one team and strengthen relationships with our key stakeholders—agencies, advertisers, media owners and technology partners”.

O’Connor’s invaluable contribution

Maher acknowledged O’Connor’s invaluable contribution in the current CEO role: “We are deeply saddened to be losing Natasha from the OOHMAA business. Over the past six years Natasha has been an amazing catalyst for growth in the Out of Home industry and fundamental to the strong position the industry is in today. In discussion with Natasha, we agreed that the expanded scope of the role and its relocation to Auckland made these changes the right approach.”

Recruitment for the new roles is now underway, with the new team expected to be in place by early June. O’Connor will remain in her role until June 1 to support the transition.
