Kiwi marketing and communications agency Bastion Shine has appointed Luke Farmer as managing director, reporting to CEO Toby Sellers.
Farmer brings over two decades of leadership experience in the country’s advertising industry.
Throughout his career, he’s worked with leading brands in banking, alcohol, insurance, FMCG, airlines and automotive, shaping enduring platforms and internationally recognised creative work.
Most recently, Farmer’s also taken on commercially focused roles, building collaborative teams and delivering effective campaigns.
An important milestone
At Bastion Shine, Farmer will focus on improving operations, driving new business, strengthening client partnerships and leading the agency’s work with NordEast and its automotive brands.
He will also ensure the creative team delivers integrated, results-driven campaigns that reflect Bastion’s independent, client-centric approach.
“Luke’s appointment marks an important milestone for Bastion Shine,” says Sellers.
“His experience and expertise will be critical as we build momentum in new business and deliver operational excellence across the agency. Luke will also be instrumental in the leadership of two of our largest clients, Air New Zealand and NordEast. Luke’s leadership style and track record make him a strong cultural fit and a valuable addition to the team.”
Luke adds, “I’m super excited about getting stuck in with a laser focus on operational excellence, continuing the momentum in new business, delivering on our new NordEast relationship alongside our other amazing clients and of course having plenty of fun with the all the good folks while doing so.”
