Full-funnel independent agency Thompson Spencer celebrates four new shortlist nods.
For the 2025 Campaign Agency of the Year Awards, the agency has been nominated in three categories:
- Australia / New Zealand Independent Agency of the Year
- Australia / New Zealand Social Media Agency of the Year
- Australia / New Zealand Influencer Marketing Agency of the Year
Adding to the momentum, Thompson Spencer is also a finalist for The 2025 Pressie Awards in Best Use of Social. The nomination recognises the agency’s ‘Safety at the School Gate’ campaign for Auckland Transport, fronted by Kiwi favourite Karen O’Leary. The Pressies celebrate the best campaigns in Aotearoa, honouring work that drives change, sparks conversation and delivers measurable impact.
Fast growth, big wins
“Being recognised across multiple major awards programmes here in New Zealand and on a global stage is something we’re fizzing with pride about,” says Melanie Spencer, co-CEO of Thompson Spencer.
“These shortlists represent the backstory to our work: the future focus, the creativity, the expertise, the growing scale and the consistent insightfulness of our team.
“You can see our heart and soul in everything from social storytelling and influencer innovation to fully integrated campaigns that all move the needle for our clients.
“To be named among the region’s top independent agencies is a huge reflection of how far and fast we’ve grown, and how powerfully the collaboration across our specialist teams is playing off,” Spencer adds.
Winners of the Campaign Agency of the Year Awards will be announced in Singapore on December 9, 2025. The Pressies winners revealed on November 12, 2025.
