AUCKLAND, Today: The Early Deadline for the Type Directors Club 72nd Annual Competition is nearly here — this Friday, November 14. Sure, you could wait until February’s Final Deadline, but why risk a last-minute scramble for TDC72 glory?
The winning works featured above share something in common. Yes, they were all TDC71 winners, celebrating the best in branding, type design, and lettering from around the world.
But they also share another key detail, none of them waited until the very last moment to enter. They took advantage of TDC’s lowest early-bird entry fees and submitted before the rush.
Even Daniel Frumhoff Design, who went on to win TDC71 Best of Lettering for “Stanford d.school Yearbook ’23,” didn’t leave it to the wire like so many others. Smart move.

Regular deadline: JAN 23
Final deadline: FEB 27
