Whittaker’s has brought a bit of magic to Ponsonby Road with a Christmas window display and pop-up gift store.
Running from Decemer 6 to 22, the window is just across from Franklin Road – famous in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland for its Christmas lights.
Inviting people to explore the ‘wonder of Whittaker’s’, the whimsical window shows a factory making the Kiwi company’s chocolate pods. Pasersby can watch as pods are moved around on a conveyor belt-like system.
At the pop-up gift store next door, the pods themselves are for sale as well as Whittaker’s seasonal gifting range.
The vibes are very Wonka-esque, and I loved the creativity and the intricacy of the design. Bonus points for using the signature Whittaker’s gold foil wrapping as part of the display. (Peep the rocket ship above!)
I can highly recommend paying a visit to the display and then heading to the Franklin Road lights. A lovely evening full of Christmas cheer.
