Independent integrated communications agency Bastion Shine has rebranded to Bastion Aotearoa.
The agency says the new name marks the next phase in its evolution and emphasises its focus on building powerful organisations and brands in and for Aotearoa.
Over the past two years, the agency has invested heavily in strengthening its expert capability including in strategy, digital, creative, design, PR, social and experiential while expanding its national footprint.
Late last year, Bastion Aotearoa established a senior team to grow its government and commercial offering in Wellington. Wellington MD Fleur Head and strategy partner Anna Gunnell officially started last week with the rest to follow.
Single-minded focus
Bastion Aotearoa CEO Toby Sellers says they’ve had a clear vision of what they wanted to achieve and the benefits it would bring the business and their clients.
“Our new name, Bastion Aotearoa, not only emphasises our single-minded focus on the New Zealand market, but our ambition to create a unique, compelling, and strong offer for our clients.
“Strengthening our capability across the board is key to being able to navigate and solve increasing complex marketing challenges and environments for our clients. By bringing that capability together under ‘one roof’ and redesigning our ways of working, clients can now access truly integrated thinking to strengthen brand worlds, change behaviour, and heighten engagement with their customers”, adds Sellers.
Bastion Aotearoa is part of independent Australia-based communications agency group, Bastion. It has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Gold Coast, Brisbane as well as Los Angeles and New York City. It acquired New Zealand independent agency, Shine, in 2021, becoming Bastion Shine.
Bastion Group CEO Cheuk Chiang says he’s delighted with the agency’s new name, positioning, and progress.
“Bastion Aotearoa is better positioned than ever to deliver integrated solutions to the New Zealand market that put people, brands, and organisations in a position of strength,” says Chiang.
