Boutique PR, communications and talent management agency Sayso (formery NSPR) has maintained its B Corp Certification, increasing its impact score from 92.7 to 98.7.
Sayso was one of the first PR and communications agencies in Aotearoa New Zealand to certify in 2023.
At the time, there were less than 100 certified B Corps in the country – there are now 178, joining a worldwide community of 10,549 companies from 103 countries, across 163 industries.
“We’ve worked hard to not only maintain our B Corp certification, but increased our impact score,” says Sayso managing director Kate Grant. “Since our last certification, we’ve gone through a number of changes – not to mention an entire rebrand – but one thing that’s always remained constant is our kaupapa and approach to business. We’re committed to doing good work, with good people, in good way.”
Continuous improvement
The B Corp process is a natural extension of how the agile agency already operates with a focus on whanaungatanga (connection), hauora (health) and whānau (family), grounded in its responsibilities under Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the part they play as Tāngata Tiriti.
“It keeps you accountable for continuous improvement and makes you look at operations with a holistic lens,” says Grant. “We welcome that kind of scrutiny. It doesn’t intimidate us; it motivates us. To any other companies interested in the B Corp process, please reach out as we are always happy to chat and support others into the B Corp community.”
Sayso regularly works with other B Corp-certified businesses, including ecostore, Goodbye and Elemental Distillers. The agency looks forward to celebrating the recertification in time for B Corp Month, kicking off March 1.
