Due to changes in Auckland with regards to the Alert Level restrictions, NZ Marketing and the Marketing Association have taken the decision to postpone the TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards Night to a later date; November 10.
On August 12, Government made the decision to return Auckland to Alert Level 3 restrictions due to a community outbreak of Covid-19. Since then, NZ Marketing and the Marketing Association have kept a close eye on developments and official announcements. “Given the uncertainty as to whether the city will return to Alert Level 1 by September 10 and as the health and safety of our attendees, staff, suppliers, sponsors and community are of the utmost importance to us, we both have made the decision to postpone the Awards Night to Tuesday November 10 at Cordis, Auckland,” said John Miles, Chief Executive, Marketing Association.
“A decision, as you can imagine, that has not been taken lightly. But a necessary one as we just can’t see a live event with hundreds of people in a room happening in early September. Neither does it seem the right thing to do given the challenges New Zealanders are facing as a result of the restrictions,” said David Nothling-Demmer, NZ Marketing Editor. “We’re totally committed to a live event and TVNZ as naming rights sponsor as well as all our other sponsors are fully on board with this decision,” he added.
All tickets sold prior to today’s announcement will be transferred to the new date, November 10. Tickets are still available to purchase online here. Those who have questions in regards to the new date or tickets please contact the Marketing Association via email on events@marketing.org.nz.
