BUSAN, Today: New Zealand agencies have scored a Grand Prix and five Golds at the Ad Stars 2020 Awards overnight in Korea.
Clemenger BBDO Wellington NZ Transport Belted Survivors took the Grand Prix in the Diverse Insights category – plus three Golds for NZTA The Unsaid (in Print, Outdoor and PR).
DDB Group NZ’s Lotto LO5T won two Golds (in Brand Experience & Activation, and Media).
“Diverse Insights is a wonderful category to judge, and the winners should all be very proud.”
Executive judge Levi Slavin (CCO at Colenso BBDO NZ) said: “Instead of doing homogenised work to communicate with global audiences, championing Diverse Insights becomes a conversation between a brand and its customers no matter where they’re from. It legitimises and honours their environment.
“It is a wonderful category to judge, and the winners should all be very proud. For me, Diverse Insights is one of the most important categories at Ad Stars.
Slavin also praised Clemenger’s The Unsaid: “This is such a delicate and well-understood campaign, it feels like it’s coming from the audience itself.”
